She epitomized her name, and was one of the most elegant, beautiful, graceful women of the world! She was an amazing artist and one of South African’s renowned watercolorists and calligraphists. My Mom and Dad left South Africa in 1982 and went to live in San Diego, where my mom became very active in the art world there, becoming President of the San Diego Arts Society and the Calligraphic Society as well.

I am so happy that my brother and I were  able to honor her at a retrospective exhibition of her wonderful works at the “Celebraiton of the Senses” exhibition at Scripps Hospital in San Diego where we showcased over 150 of her pieces of art and calligraphy, with South African music, wine, food, backdrops and scent in the air.   Check out her website www.2marvelous4words.com

Pleasure, Sensuality, Exuberance, Strength and so much more….. so here is my LOVE LIFE UPDATE!

I have now become unfaithful to the previous loves of my life..Mr. Blackberry and Mr. PC Computer! Try as I might I have been resisting the advances of two new handsome, sleek, beautifully dressed icons who have been flirting with me for awhile  namely: Messrs Apple I Phone and Macbook Pro….but finally they seduced me!

Who can resist such masterful ingenuity,good looks and supreme designer style? As well as their scintillating scent? Certainly not me!!Do you think that I shall be able to control these two ‘techies’ and have them eating out of the palm of my hands and keeping up with the dexterity of my fast fingers and fluid voice?

Will they be able to resist me as I have resisted them over the years? No longer an Apple virgin, I am anticipating with great pleasure our new relationship and enjoying the first paroxsyms of delight in the same way that one feels when one wears a new personal perfume!  Phew! Difficult to master and succumb to…. but worth it!!

Being unfaithful is so much fun!

Exciting news at Scenterprises! We have been invited to participate at an Editor’s Event on Thursday March 29 to present an ‘uplifting’scent seminar at which we will take everyone on a ‘fragrance journey’ and discuss perfume ingredients which bring joy and happiness, as well as give everyone the opportunity to create their own personalized, individual fragrance.

On  Thursday April 19th the Association of Real Estate Women (AREW) Charitable Fund will host an evening of make-up, scent, style and more. At the “Put Your Best Face Forward” event, guests will walk a step and repeat and be photographed red carpet style; have lips and eyes done by makeup experts; be able to refresh their fashion style for spring with tips from a top expert; and discover their custom scent.
The evening also includes refreshments, participation in drawings for make-up or head shot sessions and a complimentary gift bag.  Make-up and services will be provided by Julia Dalton-Brush, Bruch Beauty Makeup & Hair Artistry.  Other participating professionals include Victoria Janshvili, photograper; Julia Roth, style/image consultant; and Sue Phillips, Scent Image.

There is something so perfect about the two “2′s” that look like bookends on either side!

I feel certain that the ‘even’ numbers of 20 and 12 are positive indicators and am confident that this will be a great year !  In addition,  I have received emails and calls for requests for Custom Perfume workshops from across the country, and even an inquiry from Angola!  I am convinced that this year will be a year in which people discover the magic and mystery of creating their own Custom Perfume, which is truly ‘scent-sational’!

I am also starting the year by going to visit my daughter in Spain and shall be searching for exotic ingredients and fragrances for inspiration for our seminars, workshops and events.
